I had a dream that I… uh… became Garfield But the weird thing about it was that I had only become Garfield in the future, due to some decision I had made in the past. It was some kind of karmic punishment or something.
I wasted zero time figuring out how to get back to the past and break the Garfield curse, which was apparently accomplished by retreating to the cat bed in the far room and sitting in it. …At least, that’s what I really hoped would work. After a few attempts I figured out how to shrink to a small size along with the bed.
I’ve been working on Asekai sprites some more, and feel like this is a good time to post them, so here they are.
Yard Bird is an “alternate” evolution for Feuvog, a phoenix-like creature connected to seasons, ambience, and life. (“Alternate” is a nice way of putting it… these “alternate” evolution routes actually happen when you do a bunch of stuff wrong.)
Why “Yard Bird”? All of Feuvog’s “standard” stages are named “(something)vog”, so I wanted its alternate ones to be all named “(Something) Bird”. The first thing I thought of was “Yard Bird”,
I randomly “panicked” during an online test that was pretty easy but I just really wanted to do something other than a test at that particular minute… so I took like four minutes to draw Red. Then I took like fifteen later to put in shades and do cleanup.
Today I stumbled onto a sale at my university bookstore where there happened to be coloured fountain pens. They might not be that hard to find, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a bright pink one.
I then pretty immediately drew what I wanted to get done on the fifth (and fourth, and…). It’s a start to a revamp of Red!
Lollllll everything is so disorganised now I can’t even easily find the attribute symbols any more. Let’s fix at least that much.
Click the small ones up for big versions.
Left to right: Synthesis, Unity, Machination, Fantasy, Verity, Faith, Esteem, Will.
Left to right: Eternity, Frustration (outdated), Clarity, Portent, Compulsion, Desolation, Ruin, Incongruity.
Frustration is scrapped and will be replaced with a new attribute, but I haven’t named it or made its emblem yet. Its (very) tentative name is Apathy; right now the tag for it is just “UD Will”.
Totality and Nothing
Totality and Nothing are at this point considered special attributes! Now they’re only for high-level things that are ‘just good enough’ to be all the Directed attributes or all the Undirected ones (if you’re an even balance of all the attributes but a normal ‘power level’ you’re considered to be ‘Inception prototype’). But they still have emblems. (Nothing’s emblem is just an empty image, and yes, I still made a huge version for simplicity-of-programming reasons :p)
Ok so, I had a dream about FNAF. But it wasn’t a stupid nightmare, it was actually just kind of a dream… commenting on the subject of having nightmares about it and saying ‘geez that’s stupid, this stuff is NOT actually scary’.
I more or less literally had a deconstruction of a nightmare. :p
(content warning: unfrightening parodies of jumpscares)
I don’t really remember the first part of the dream clearly.
It was like there was no FNAF stuff at all at first,
I quickly drew this at one point last year when a friend was not feeling so well, but then decided not to post it because probably they were already over it. But, seeing as how they happened to be down again I thought, well I could dig that up again. So here you are.
The creature is a cervoptere (SER-vo-tair), a Grævonian animal related to hexart dragons, though this was a rough design for it; I still haven’t designed them properly. It’s usually associated with Compulsion but I wanted to give a hopeful vibe by pairing it with the colour and symbol of Faith instead.
So… I had a dream where I was this red-orange birdperson.
I don’t remember it very well but when I was looking at myself from a first-person point of view, I was human, but in a third-person point of view, I was bird.
I was, for whatever reason, at the top floor of this building in a room where there were like… hot tubs kind of? They were these heated maybe hip-deep pools of water with lights in the bottom so they glowed red. It was sort of cool, though also very weird and making me wonder why you would want that effect.
