In my dream last night I was playing a game that was apparently supposed to be Telefang 2 because the graphics/engine were very much like that game, but because dreams are dreams, I had to go make up new places that weren’t actually in it. Also, instead of Kyou, the blue-clad male trainer, the trainer was a girl. I forget what she looked like exactly but I think she had a distinctly different (though still monochrome) colour palette from Kyou which was green, green overalls, and short hair.
In addition to that, the viewport for the game was much bigger than in the actual game,
what’s the difference between subjectivism and objectivism
I used to (mis?)use objectivism to simply mean a philosophy based in objectivity. It was soooort of inspired by Ayn Rand a little bit, I mean that’s where I got the word “objectivism” in the first place, but only in the vaguest general sense of ‘this is a philosophy where the objective truth is considered the ultimate truth, rather than emotional truths being considered the ultimate truth’; I was in high school and only read Anthem, and I thought she was trying to say that propaganda that worked to erase your sense of self and individuality was bad and knowing the big picture was a vital thing everyone should fight for.
For a little while now this has kind of been my unofficial theme for Barry. Now it’s official, I guess! :p
I like how this song starts out with this random guitar you kind of didn’t expect and just kinda… starts off down the road. It fits oddly well with the way the character is kind of weird and silly and always likes to say things in a ridiculous and oddly unhelpful way to mess with you knowing that when he’s the mature expert (in a rather specific field, but he’s pretty invaluable nonetheless) and too charming to hate on top of it, there’s nothing you can do to stop him.
Then it goes into this much more mature and “Unified” sounding thing, which is another side of the character, but the quirky guitar is still there and then you get this very… girly in a way ‘romantic’-ish stuff with whispering voices and stuff but that fits the character too because he looks and acts in a somewhat feminine way.
And then it’s just kind of… chill for the rest of it.
As an added bonus its sort of Italian (?) sound goes pretty well with Ariana’s theme.
I feel like I need to share the inspiration for this character, because it’s an odd little story.
So, there’s this cartoon called Regular Show. I had never actually watched it, but apparently it’s one of those things where a guy won a contest and just sort of put together a bunch of random characters and things lying around and wove a concept around them. Which was basically ‘hey what if they were just sort of goofing around at college’.
Whew. Took way too long, but I finally got the proper shape for the tail.
Her tail has an interesting little quirk. You’ll see when I upload the drawing.
WIP of Jinhuáng in her new design.
The tail isn’t supposed to be a triangle like that, the extrusion just turned it that way temporarily :p
The track listing on an album of orchestral Christmas songs just reminded me that for no particular reason, when I was maybe about 14 I was weirdly obsessed with the song “God rest ye merry gentlemen”. I don’t know why, because honestly the melody isn’t all that great?
But for some reason I loved that song and when I was trying to learn to play the guitar I had to keep playing it to myself because I really liked to hear myself play it for some reason
In French a rainbow is literally just called “arc in sky” omg
